AUGUST 4, 2009    NEWS REPORT

PAKISTANI MUSLIMS ATTACK & KILL SEVERAL CHRISTIAN PASTORS, BURN HOUSE CHURCHES, AND OVER 100 CHRISTIAN HOMES.
Respected Bishop Kevin Kemp

I am sending you some basis details & some pictures. More details I will send you soon. Muslims set on fire 45 Christian homes, children and women burnt to death.

Toba Tek Singh, Pakistan: July 31, 2009. Many children and women are feared burnt to death in 45 homes of Christians set on fire by Muslim attackers in Village Korian & Gojra in District Toba Tek, Punjab.

The Faisalabad-Gojra Road was blocked by Muslim mob who were laying on road to block any help to reach village Korian where homes of Christians were burning.

GVM team left Faisalabad for Toba Tek after call from Christians in Gojra who were also hiding in homes in fear of attack by Muslims.

According to different sources in Toba Tek, the situation was like this that there was a marriage ceremony of a Christian in the Village of Korian on 26 July where a large gathering of children, women, and men of relatives were present for celebration.

The Muslim accused one boy in home of marriage ceremony that he had burnt down the pages of Holy Koran. The Elders of Christians and Muslims in village met to defuse tension on clarification of Christian youth that he did not burn pages of Koran.

On the night of July 30, 2009, at 9:00 p.m., the Muslims of Village Korian announced on loudspeakers of mosque to gather and teach lesson to "infidel Christians" who are protecting accused of blasphemy on burning holy pages of Koran.

The nearby villages also made same announcements from mosque and Muslims gathered before homes of Christians in large numbers.

“Allah Oh Akbar” “kill infidels” and Muslim mob started setting on fire homes of Christians. As it was nighttime, the Christian children, women, and men with fear, locked their doors to hide inside and some of them were hiding in the bushes when GVM were getting the information via cell phone from the Christian people of Korian.

Many children, women, and men are also burnt to death inside homes. When news of attack on Christians came to the District Police Officer in Toba Tek, he ordered the deployment of police and Fire Brigade but Muslim mob had already placed blocks on the road.

Our GVM Team went Village Korian Gojra to pray & help the suffering Christian people.

When our GVM Team went to that village, there were only three Christian people who were left in the Village Korian. One old blind woman, her husband, and one other person. All other Christians ran away.

August 1, 2009, it was another day of mourning for Christians when a Muslim mob attacked at the Gojra Christian Colony. During the attack, they gunned down seven Christian women, children, and men, and burnt down 50 Christian homes in Gojra.

The march of Muslims started from the Railway Station Gojra at 10:00 am and thousands of local and near-by village Muslims marched towards Christian Colony. The Christian Colony Gojra is the residence of one thousand Christian families, who have been settled there for over fifty-years.

When Muslim marchers approached Christian Colony, some two hundred Muslims, hiding their faces with traditional Islamic scarfs, opened fire on the Christian houses.

The Christian's fled from their homes but those who were trapped, were executed by face covered Muslims with automatic firearms. The Muslim attackers looted 100 homes and set on fire more than fifty Christian houses.

These attackers used a particular type of chemical, which is hard to extinguish to burn Christian homes. This chemical was used first in the Village of “Shanti Nagar” which was set on fire in February 1997. Later this chemical was used in “Sangla Hill Town” and was recently used to burn the homes in the Village of Korian on night of July 30, 2009.

GVM called the Christian Colony to one of the Pastor's when it was 11 am. The Pastor told GVM that the Muslims attacked on our Colony. At that time, he told GVM that one house was burnt and they started firing on Christian homes. All the Christian people were in their homes. They shot one person and he died in the same spot. His family was crying and asking the Muslims "please don’t kill us, whatever you want to take from our home we will give you." However, the Muslims through the chemical on them & they burned all the family. Six members of their family were burnt & died.

GVM team went there & saw what happened with these Christian people, the people are out of there homes. They do not have anything this time. Now they do not have houses, beds, water, food, or pots. GVM Church went to their village the following day to provide food for the suffering people.

Please pray & help these suffering Christian People, they need your Urgent Support in this difficult situation.

Thank you very much. Your brother and fellow worker in the harvest of the Lord.

Respected Bishop Kevin Kemp

I am sorry to write this message to you that Urgent Help is needed for Christian Persecuted Families in Pakistan.

Today over 250 Christian families from Village Korian and Gojra, Toba were singing and crying out for help.

Currently we need a lot of money to provide meals, food, tents & many things for these traumatized families. In addition, it might take several weeks for this crisis to be resolved.

These Christians have lost everything - their homes, their possessions - some have also lost their loved ones. They are traumatized, scared, hungry, heartbroken, and they desperately need our help.

Bishop, I am urging you to write now to your Pastor friends, personal friends, and church members to make a special gift. We need to rush vital supplies of food, water, milk, clothes & many other things to these innocent victims of Christian persecution.

So please pray & help these suffering Christian people, they need your Urgent Support in this difficult situation.

In addition, remember to keep these persecuted brothers and sisters in Christ in your prayers during this week.  Looking forward to hearing from you soon.
